The Yee Family is on the blog today with a fun-filled fall-themed family session. This lovely family has been coming to Sugar Plum since the girls were newborns. Each year I have the privilege of updating their walls, so I’ve learned. Usually, these photos are used for entertainment purposes only, to share on social media for example. It is nice to hear that these photos do see the daylight, and are enjoyed by anyone walking by.
Themes have always been sparse, namely because they tend to age photos. My goal in my work is to create timeless portraits of you and your family. That being said, they are your photos and who am I to say no? I will always execute the session in a way that is consistent with the rest of my work. For example, classy photos, age-appropriate, with not too much stuff. The goal is the have the children, your expressions, the focus of the photos.
For this and many other reasons, fall-themed family sessions and holiday themes now have a permanent place at Sugar Plum. Done tastefully, of course.
