Oh what a little ham baby Jayden was! The spunk in spirt, the way he locks in on you with those piercing brown eyes – just magic. The love that this mom-and-son duo share was absolutely palpable. It is truly a blessing I get to share in these moments with you in our sessions. Jayden came in for a sitter session with his lovely mom, have a look at what happened once Jayden got comfortable.
Sitter Session: What is it?
A “sitter session” is when your baby has mastered the new skill of sitting. This happens at different times for every baby, but the idea is to document this new ability. Up until now they have been rolling around and maybe tried to get up on all fours to do the wobble. The point is, there’s a lot going on! New motor skills and new milestones are being developed every day. These are busy bodies and being able to sit independently is one step closer to getting up and starting to walk. Yes, you read that correctly. Walk. This is a very curious age, with everything going into their mouths for inspection. You may have noticed this. Finding their feet and understanding those delicious toes are part of their bodies is also a great milestone and photo opportunity!
Mommy & Me: A Special Bond
This is the part where I back off and let you be yourselves. Some of the best images from a session are where I don’t give any guidance and let things just happen naturally. I will always offer up suggestions of things to try if you look like you need the guidance. Generally speaking, anything is fair game. As a result, the images look very natural.
