It is certainly an unprecedented time. Despite the uncertainty and the worry we all carry in our daily lives, we took the time (and the precaution) to pause and document a fleeting moment in time with a COVID safe backyard family session.
The corona virus has all of us going about our daily lives in a different fashion. Part of that is still making sure that our spirit and love for family shines through. How we express it, is individual. Today, we documented a family bonding moment in the most safe and practical way.
A Socially Distanced Safe Location
The location was the backyard of the grandparents, and the families have been in contact with each other throughout the pandemic without issue, exercising caution and reason along the way. They felt comfortable getting together. I maintained my distance and wore a mask, sanitized myself and my equipment as I always do. Together, we had a COVID safe backyard family session.
COVID Safe session
The rest, is pure magic and synergy of the children playing with each other. For that brief moment of time watching, documenting, observing it was peaceful. The noise and fear of the corona virus drifted away into silence. The laughter of children, birds singing and the warmth of the sun washed over us. Happiness. Everyone was happy in this moment, being together and enjoying each other’s company. We successfully navigated a COVID safe backyard family session and documented some beautiful memories to look back on.
If there’s a lesson in all this pandemic, its the power of solidarity. That together, we are stronger than just one. That together, we can move mountains. I look forward to the days where we can all reunite and celebrate being together again.
