Baby Girl Newborn Photoshoot Session

An intimate look at a recent newborn photoshoot session with a sweet baby girl and her brother. I’ll touch on how to best structure a session given a sibling involved, or at least how I like to structure it. Recently I had the pleasure of working with a past client with their second baby. It is pure joy spilling out of my heart when I see a client for another session. It is nothing short of an honour to be a part of such a special and intimate moment for your family. First of all, thank you for choosing me. Second of all, let’s hug it out and get down to business ;)

But First, The Family Portrait

Most sessions will begin with family portraits first when there is a sibling involved. The goal is to keep the toddler engaged during the session. In order for that to happen, the space needs to be new and so do you. Once he or she feels too comfortable with you, the antics start up. Fast and efficient is the name of the game. Before junior knows it his or her portion is done and they can relax with mom and dad. It’s a fine balance between letting the family be themselves such as in the above photo, where the little boy is climbing his dad. It adds character and shows a more candid side with personalities shining through.

Three Set Options

Each session has the option of three different sets as captioned above. There are a series of poses and images I aim to achieve with each of the three setups, changing the head accessories and swaddles to create a unique gallery of images. On average there are between 25-45 images to choose from depending on which package you selected. The more time we have together in the studio, the more magic I can create with each setup.
